FREMONT — The City of Fremont is gearing up for an exciting summer, packed with activities and programs designed to keep local youth active, engaged, and entertained. From outdoor games and sports to creative workshops and nature exploration, Fremont’s parks will become hubs of fun for kids of all ages.

The city’s Recreation Department is organizing a variety of free and low-cost activities throughout the park system, offering families and youth plenty of options to enjoy the great outdoors while building community connections. “We know that summertime is when kids want to get outside, play, and make memories,” said Cody Bischoff, Recreation Superintendent, “and we’re excited to offer safe, welcoming spaces where kids can come together and enjoy all that our parks have to offer.”

By rotating events through different parks, the city hopes to spark even more interest in these local spaces, reminding families that fun and adventure can be found just around the corner.

City Invites Community Input and Partnerships

The summer programming is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to providing recreational opportunities for youth. To make this summer truly special, the City of Fremont is inviting local businesses, community organizations, and residents to attend an upcoming Town Hall Meeting focused on gathering ideas, generating feedback, and exploring partnership opportunities.

“We see this as a community-wide effort,” added Mayor Danny Sanchez. “Whether it’s a local business sponsoring an event, leading an activity, or a neighbor volunteering to help out, everyone has a role to play in making this summer a success for our youth.”

The Town Hall will be held at City Hall on Thursday, March 20th at 5:00pm. The event is open to all members of the community. Businesses and residents are encouraged to attend and share their ideas. The city hopes to gather creative suggestions, identify potential sponsors, and build collaborations that will enhance the overall summer programming.

Full Schedule Coming Soon

The schedule of activities will be finalized and posted on the Recreation Department’s website and social media pages, with updates throughout the season. In addition, the Recreation Department plans to unveil a summer long calendar that will be distributed to families.

Whether it’s playing a game of pickleball, joining a sidewalk chalk contest, or simply enjoying a sunny afternoon at the park, Fremont’s youth will have plenty of reasons to get out and explore their community this summer.
